Our country has the honour to host for the first time the Nuclear Policy Symposium of the Alliance 2021 (NATO Nuclear Policy Symposium 2021) on 3 and 4 November 2021, at the NATO Maritime Interdiction Operational Training Centre (MIOTC) in Chania.
The Symposium will be of two-day duration and is co-organised by the Ministry of National Defence and the International Secretariat of NATO, while the conduct and its realisation is coordinated by the General Directorate of National Defence Policy and International Relations.
The aim of the Symposium, addressed to senior officials and officials of the Ministries of Defence and Foreign Affairs of the Member States of the Alliance, is to exchange views on nuclear policy and disarmament issues. NATO will be represented by Ms Jessica Cox, Director of Nuclear Policy of the Alliance, while on behalf of the General Directorate, Dr. Konstantinos P. Balomenos, will participate.
