The General Director of National Defence Policy and International Relations of the Ministry of National Defence, Dr. Konstantinos Balomenos, met on Thursday 10 September 2020 with the Swedish Ambassador to Greece, Mrs Charlotte Sammelin, with whom they discussed regional developments and the security and stability challenges in the Eastern Mediterranean from Turkey’s escalating, destabilising and unlawful actions.

In the meeting, issues of common interest were also discussed, such as the migration-refugee crisis, and the further strengthening of cooperation between the two countries, both within the European Union and at a bilateral level, as well.
