The General Director of National Defence Policy and International Relations, Dr. Konstantinos P. Balomenos, took part on Thursday 3 September 2020 in a meeting of the Deputy Defence Minister of the Hellenic Republic, Alkiviadis Stefanis, with the Defence Policy Director of the Austrian Ministry of Defence, Dr. Arnold Kammel, during which issues of mutual interest were discussed regarding the situation under development in the South East Mediterranean, the security of the borders of the European Union, and the role that the Armed Forces are called upon to fulfill in response to the health crisis.

The Austrian Ambassador to Greece, Mag. Hermine Poppeller, also attended the meeting.
