The Director-General of the General Directorate of National Defence Policy and International Relations (GDNDPIR) of the Hellenic Ministry of National Defence, Ambassador a.h. Michel Spinellis, participated in the EU Defence Policy Directors’ Meeting held in Brussels on 14 November 2025.

The Directors reviewed the current situation and identified the next steps concerning military support for Ukraine, available funding options, and the EU’s contribution to security guarantees for Kyiv. The first part of the session was also attended by the Deputy Defence Minister of Ukraine, Mr Serhii Boiev, who briefed the Directors on the situation in the field, along with his country’s most urgent requirements for defence assistance.

During the second part of the session, European officials exchanged views on the implementation of the Defence Readiness Agenda 2030 and its associated roadmap.

The Summit concluded with a working luncheon, during which matters relating to security and defence in the space domain were discussed. Participants were encouraged to focus on space capabilities that enhance European military readiness, as well as to evaluate the EU’s added value in preparing for and countering space threats.
