Greece is the best educational provider of the European Security & Defence College

GDNDPIR / ACTIVITIES

A particular success and promotion for Greece is the recognition of its valuable contribution to the educational activities of the European Security and Defence College (ESDC).

ESDC, in its initial annual presentation to participants of all training programmes regarding its work, training techniques, methodology and expectations, has included some brief information on the availability of trainers and the contribution per Member State of the European Union to the relevant educational activities.

In this context, on 26 September 2022, at the start of the 18th CSDP High Level Course 2022-2023 entitled: “Otto VON HABSBURG”, a particular reference was made, through a chart, to our country which holds the first place, with a significant difference, among the other EU Member States (of a strong profile) with regard to the education and training providers.

It is recalled that the General Directorate of National Defence Policy and International Relations of the Ministry of National Defence has decisively contributed to this success, since in the past, it has successfully organised (marked out of an excellent rate by the students and staff of the College) ESDC training programs and seminars. These actions were aimed at civilian and military officials at the highest levels of Defence Command, Diplomatic, Political and Academic Sectors, and engaged qualified lecturers and instructors.

The constructive cooperation of the General Directorate of National Defence Policy and International Relations of the Ministry of National Defence with the European Security and Defence College (ESDC) continues ,as it has proven to be an important opportunity to promote topics aligned with issues of national strategic interest.
