The Director-General of the General Directorate of National Defence Policy and International Relations (GDNDPIR) of the Hellenic Ministry of National Defence, Ambassador a.h. Michel Spinellis, held bilateral consultations with his Serbian counterpart, Mr Predrag Bandić, and the Deputy Minister of Defence Armaments, Mr Nenad Miloradović, on 02 December 2025 in Belgrade. These consultations were conducted under the auspices of defence diplomacy and specifically aimed at enhancing bilateral defence cooperation between Greece and Serbia, following an official invitation extended by the Serbian side.

Discussions focused on deepening bilateral defence relations between Greece and Serbia and sharing perspectives regarding defence industrial matters. Additionally, the security situation and recent geopolitical developments in the Western Balkans and the Eastern Mediterranean were reviewed, along with Serbia’s EU accession prospects.

Following the conclusion of the meeting, the two parties acknowledged the strong level of defence collaboration between their countries and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen it through both bilateral and multilateral mechanisms.
