The Director-General of the General Directorate of National Defence Policy and International Relations (DGNDPIR) of the Ministry of National Defence, Ambassador a.h. Michel Spinellis, in the broader context of defence diplomacy and in particular the strengthening of bilateral defence relations between Greece and Czech Republic, held bilateral consultations with his Czech counterpart, Dr. Martin RIEGL, following an official invitation from the latter, in Prague.

These consultations followed bilateral talks that took place from 01 to 02 March 2023, in Athens and in the Evros region, at the level of Defence Policy Directors between Greece and Czech Republic.
The main axis of the discussion was the deepening of the defence relations between the two countries, both on a bilateral level, as well as within the framework of NATO and the European Union. In addition, the security situation and regional developments in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East, Ukraine and the Western Balkans were addressed.

Following the conclusion of bilateral consultations, the two Directors of Defence Policy acknowledged the excellent level of defence cooperation between the two countries.
