Following the 2nd Interministerial Conference on National Resilience, organised by the General Directorate of National Defence Policy and International Relations (GDNDPIR) of the Ministry of National Defence (MoD) on Tuesday 19 September 2023 at the Athens War Museum, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport organized, on 20 October 2023, a workshop to inform its senior staff (Heads, Directors, General Directors) on National Resilience.

Following an official invitation by the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Christos Staikouras, the General Director of National Defence Policy and International Relations, Dr. Konstantinos Balomenos, participated in the Workshop in his capacity as Senior National Representative (SNR) of Greece in the NATO Resilience Committee, and informed the officials of the Ministry in question about:

• The coordination of efforts at inter-ministerial level to strengthen resilience in Greece, as a result of our national commitment to resilience, emanating from Article 3 of the North-Atlantic Treaty.

• The need to set up a National Resilience Committee with members/representatives from all Ministries and bodies of the Hellenic Public Administration, whose main task will be to formulate a National Resilience Strategy and take initiatives at the operational level to strengthen the resilience of our country.

• The need to identify vulnerabilities per department and body within the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, but also in all Ministries.

• The Roadmap of Actions for the elaboration of the National Resilience Plan and the achievement of the National Resilience Goals.
