Οn Monday, 13 October 2026, the Director-General Ambassador a.h. Michel Spinellis, held bilateral consultations with Dr Marcus Mӓder State Secretary for Security Policy, Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sports of Switzerland. The consultations were held in the broader context of security diplomacy and aimed at further enhancing bilateral defence relations between Greece and Switzerland.

The principal focus of the discussions was on strengthening defence cooperation between the two countries, with particular emphasis on defence industry cooperation and innovation and military training. The two sides also discussed prospects for further elevating bilateral defence cooperation, with a view to fostering closer coordination and promoting joint initiatives in areas of mutual interest.

Upon the conclusion of the bilateral consultations, the two interlocutors acknowledged the importance of dialogue and cooperation between the two countries on defence and security issues and reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation.
